Our Story

It started with conversations

The idea for The Pink Dandelion Collective didn't come from a business plan. It came from conversations with brilliant Virtual Assistants, freelancers, bookkeepers, OBMs, social media managers and business support professionals who were quietly trying to figure it all out on their own.

People doing incredible work for their clients, while often feeling unsupported in their own businesses. People craving connection. People wanting genuine collaboration. People wishing they had somewhere to ask questions, learn, grow and be surrounded by others who simply got it.

Because the truth is, running a freelance business can feel lonely. When you work for yourself, there's no office chatter, no colleague to sense-check ideas with, no manager cheering you on. You become the marketer, finance department, operations manager, customer service team and business strategist, often all before lunch.

Meet the Founder

Wendy

Founder · Pink Dandelion Business Services

Hi, I'm Wendy. If there's one thing I know for certain, it's this: business grows better in community. After years working in finance leadership, hospitality and business operations, and building my own business, Pink Dandelion Business Services, I've seen first-hand just how lonely running a business can sometimes feel. Especially when you're the one everyone else relies on.

You're brilliant at supporting your clients. Solving problems. Keeping plates spinning. Making the magic happen behind the scenes. But who supports you? That question sat with me for a long time, and it's why I created The Pink Dandelion Collective.

Before Pink Dandelion, I spent over 25 years in finance leadership roles for SMEs, helping businesses navigate growth, systems and strategy. I also come from a strong hospitality background and even helped set up and manage an award-winning wedding venue in South Wales. Today I support businesses with bookkeeping, growth, systems and strategy, but perhaps what I'm best known for is bringing people together.

(And yes, if you know me, you'll know I'm also a little bit witchy. I love a horoscope, personality types and understanding what makes people tick. Because business isn't just about spreadsheets and systems. It's about people too.)
